koula901 Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 I don't think that's ASB, Slammer, rather, cherry burst. Love yours (150). @ Detroit: Hey! When did you get that?

Antique Cherry Burst. Some call it ACSB, Antique Cherry Sun Burst. That is what mine says on the inside control cover.

RJLII Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Insert amusing photo out of left field...... Also derivative of a clown burst.

michaeljames Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 A real clown in a real Circus ~ putting on the preps prior to showtime ~ Circus Vargas 1983 ~ not really a Clown Burst 6 string ~ but a REAL LIVE CLOWN nontheless, and if anyone knew the real truth behind clowns...well, most of them are 'bursts'!
yoslate Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Extinct? You mean distinct? By way of explanation.... Two of my favorite comedians/intellectuals, when I was a kid were Norm Crosby and Professor Irwin C. Corey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS3a4iSy038

MartyGrass Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I still believe this is the king of clownbursts. I received it from eBay a few days ago. Sadly it had a separation of the top seam, so I sent it back. Thankfully they gave me a full refund without problems.

MartyGrass Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Sad Mark, you just have not had much luck lately. I've given up on complaining years ago. I'm happy the seller was professional about the matter and was polite. I doubt he saw the crack in the seam before selling it. I didn't notice it until I restrung it and pulled up the Bigsby. Life would be boring without these bumps in the road. There needs to be tension and conflict for spice. Compare the Teletubbies and Barney to the Road Runner cartoons. Which would you rather watch an hour of?
