smurph1 Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 WoW!! I think the TS-9 is history!! Miles of sustain without a lot of gain..I played my Strat into a Janglebox compressor into the Wampler into the "Cavern Club" Cleans up very nicely with a flick of the volume, and great bite without sounding ice-picky..Holy Crap..What a Pedal..Wish I could record it for you!! Kinda pricey, but worth it!!
pegleg32 Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I've been enjoying my Ecstacy also Scott. Great pedal. I'm still using the Freakish Blues Alpha Drive a little more, but they are both great pedals. After watching the Janglebox on Ebay and You Tube for awhile, I finally decided to go with the Keeley 4 knob compressor - don't have it yet so can't give you a report. I have also been really enjoying the MXR Carbon Copy. All of these pedals are more expensive than the pedals I used to use, but I think the difference in sound is worth the bucks. Glad to hear you are enjoying yours also!!!
koula901 Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Hey Pegleg, I've got an FB Alpha Drive, too. I agree - it's a great low gain pedal - nice blues tone. @SMURPH - boy, you really have got the pedal fever lately! I've got the Wampler SuperPlex - it's a high gain distortion box. It does the job well, but doesn't clean up well by turning my volume pot down. That's why I'm considering getting a different dirt box for my high gain sound. Maybe I'll consider the Wampler Ecstasy. Of course, you are using a compressor, and I don't, that may be a factor in the sustain.

Kuz Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 My next pedal (after I sell some other great stuff that I am not using) will be a Wampler Hot Wired (Brent Mason model)!!!
DetroitBlues Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 One of my favorite online blues guitar teachers did a demo of one of these. He loves how the Wampler thickens up a strat. Congrats.
