I got 2 NGDs today. I'm moving to fewer, but nicer, guitars. I'll post NGD #2 in "The Family Tree".

Here is my new used Heritage H-140CM. There were some questions about the fretboard wood. It's a very dark colored rosewood.

I'll be keeping my Heritages, my Carvins, and my Telecasters. I'll probably sell my Strats. I haven't decided if I'm keeping my Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute or not. I have a few semi hollows that are going too.

Anyone want to buy a guitar?

Selling Stratocaters? Gibson 50's Tributes are probably one of the best Gibsons made on recent years and one of the few that actually gone up in value...

I haven't decided on the Les Paul yet. I do like it quite a bit. I'll keep my USA Peavey Predator or my Malden Utopia as my Strat. The others go. I have a 95 MIM Strat and a 6 month old HSS Highway One that I'm getting rid of.

Sweet guitar PK! Enjoy!

I used to have a Gibson Les Paul Classic that looked a lot like that, other than the sharp horn. I think I'd rather have your 140 than that LP! I hope you enjoy it!

One of the best looking 140's I've seen.

From the pics, the fret board grain looks either raised or open (cracks). If it's dried out you might want to hit it with some conditioner. If it's raised, a bit of steel wool might smooth it out.

Actually, the fret board grain is pretty tight. I may have the guitar refretted though. The frets are still okay but they are pretty low and have seen a lot of use. And I have a refret paid for at a local shop with a good rep. So since it's paid for, I may take advantage of it.

just seeing that one makes me want to grab my 140... they are amazing guitars.

I'm sure that you'll enjoy it.

.... How would you describe the neck on this 140?...

hey, Korea is making better stuff than Japan now...they've already blown by them in the electronics dept

I have a Korean made PRS that is top notch

ie: remember Japan started out making crap cars in the '70's, but then evolved to making some of the best cars

I see Korea doing the same
