gpuma Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I recently put for trade my 575. I then decided to keep her (I guess you should never play a Heritage while you are thinking about selling/trading it. You are bound to change your mind). Anyway, as you guys can see from the pics I had posted on the thread (For trade H575) there is some checking on each side of the jack (see below). Actually I am not even sure it is checking. Whatever it is, I asked Heritage what would it take to fix it and how much that would be. I never got an answer. Do you guys have an idea why?
PunkKitty Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 My guess is that they would need to see it in person to give an accurate estimate. I've heard that their repair prices are quite reasonable. Also, I've heard that they respond to phone calls more than they respond to email. They're old school.
gpuma Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 Thank you PK. Did anyone see a similar finish issue like the one in the pics? I call it checking, but I am not sure it is (and by the way, in the pics it looks so much worse than it is in reality) Anyone has any insight?
schundog Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Wierd looking! It almost looks like someone sat on that corner of the guitar or something, and cracked the finish (hopefully not the wood itself!) I'd bring it to PSP and corner one of the guys during the day to see what they think, and get an idea of if they would want to mess with it, and give you an estimate.
gpuma Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 it is definitely not through the wood. Yeah, I'll bring it to PSP
