big bob Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 did Heritage ever make a rickenbacker shaped guitar.. my friend tells me he has a rick shaped three pup heritage... will try to get picts. Bob.
Dick Seacup Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 There have been some strangely shaped (as in "not traditional") Heritage guitars pop up. There was the "gumby" looking one on eBay a month or so ago, for instance. I don't recall having seen anything that was "Rickenbacker shaped" though. That would be interesting to see, so I hope you get some pics!
big bob Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 My buddy said it's been in his closet for years, he's not found of the relatively flat neck radius.. hopefull he will send some Pict's this weekend. I'll keep ya posted.

big bob Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 that is correct. Is that really a Heritage - Heritage?? Like made at 225 Parsons?
Dick Seacup Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Pics of the back of the headstock and body, man! ;D Interesting looking. I wonder what the heritage of that Heritage is.
big bob Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 my friend bought it used in seattle in 1991. I wonder if the guys at the factory would remember it. I like the body, but would rather see the hocky stick head stock. as for picts of the back I will see what I can do.. getting my friend to take picts is slow...
Dick Seacup Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Send them to Ren and ask him about it. He's great about replying quickly, and from my experience, he is a bottomless well of Heritage knowledge, lore and arcana.
big bob Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 I sent jpegs to heritage, hope they can shed some light.. ;D ;D I don't want to waste their time, I know they are busy making stuff. we will see.. I'll keep ya posted Bob

fxdx99 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Yeh, it just didn't seem to have the fit/feel of Parson's street.
big bob Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 after doing a little on line snooping I think it may well turn out to be a john kinnard(dell arte) one off from the 80's, when he owned heritage guitar works in califorina. I sent him an e-mail, and am waiting for responce.
big bob Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 No, this is an old friend from graduate school, who I use to jam with. we were bullshi77ng about guitars the other night and he mentioned the heritage he had bought in the early 90's so he sent me some picts and well it's been raining and i've been bored so thought I would check it out.. Bob
