barrymclark Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 What, if any, physical mods would be necessary to a standard Champ chassis to accommodate the larger transformers? Sent from my iPad using Forum Runner
212Mavguy Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Go to Allen amplification's site, they have an upgrade Power Tranny that drops into the stock cutout in a silverface, probably would work on a blackface Champ. Dunno about a tweed chassis. Slightly higher secondary voltage, and enough heater current to run el34. Besides 6v6, enough b+ current to run any 6l6 type, including 7581a. .Nice iron.

He also said the beefed out OT will mean a bit more drilling but nothing nasty. Sent from my iPad using Forum Runner
