CraigParrish Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I am looking for a vintage sunburst mahogany H-357 with two mini humbuckers. My friend has a 1976 Firebird with the white pick guard and the red white and blue logo from when we were in a band together in high school..And it has to sound as good or better than an H-150 with SD Antiquities and Hovland Musicaps. :0)I have a mint Sweet 16 to sell or trade for the H-357.Thank you.
PunkKitty Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I talked to Marv about it at PSP. They will use any type of pickup that you want. The 357 that was picked up at PSP had Curtis Novak minis installed.
CraigParrish Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 Thank you so much. :0) Did they discuss availability of them at PSP.? Is this just a special order model? I hope to play one before buying it. i hope to attend next years PSP.

PunkKitty Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Special order. But get on the list. There are like 6 people in front of you!! Seriously. These are Marv's babies. He is the only one there that builds them.
CraigParrish Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 i will get on the list. Thanks again for the info. With 6 people already on the list maybe an H-150 with minis is the way to go while waiting for the H-357 to get here in 2015. :0)
tbonesullivan Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 They had two in construction down in the wood shop at PSP. I think they were both Korina.
High Flying Bird Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Marv wouldn't put soap bar p-90s in mine so I went with Phat Cats. Below is Eljay's new bird with minis.
DetroitBlues Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I don't think you're going to find a trade. They are very rare and seldom will anyone sell them. Your best bet would be to call the factory up, talk to Marv (he is the ONLY one there that makes them). Tell him what you want and get on the list. Afraid that's the only way to get one.
