Incoming problem

I expected my new H157 today. I checked UPS tracking a few minutes ago and saw that at 12:30 AM a "transportation accident occurred". The package arrived in the Toledo area around 3 AM.

 

So I was curious. UPS did some investigation for me. They found that the UPS truck was in an accident. Well, that's sad of course, but how's my guitar?

 

All I can do is wait.

 

The package is insured, of course. But that doesn't fully take the sting out of the situation.

 

Fingers crossed.

Yikes, sure hope the guitar comes out unscathed (on that note, hope the UPS driver and any others involved are alright as well)

With the locals you have that can repair, you're in good shape. If she's a grand guitar (which 157s are), you'll be alright in the long run. Most UPS boxes I see are basketball shaped by the time they are delivered. Now if you can just get it out of Toledo.

man, I am sorry to hear that. I know how stressful is the wait in normal conditions... I can only imagine how bad it is now. Good luck!

I just saw on CNN that a UPS truck was totalled out someplace in the Midwest. Apparently a train hit it. (just kidding).

 

The guy should have boxed the case in cardboard too. The law of averages applies here Mark. Not trying to be negative but, the more you buy, the better the odds are that something bad will happen (and good too).

Sorry for the wait...rough on the nerves.

I had an exception show up as a train derailment bu tit arrived just fine.

I've got my right hand fingers crossed for you, Mark.

 

The ones on my left hand are crossed for the delivery of a certain VSB 150, well known to both of us, currently on its way to north west France.

Update:

 

No one was hurt in the accident. It did delay things by a day.

 

Tomorrow I'll see if there's any damage if... there are no more accidents on the way.

 

The guy shipping is a dealer, so I'm sure it is well packaged.

I had an inbound, VERY Nice guitar show up, on line, as "delivered and signed for" , sent me into a uneasy state.. Then it arrived an hour later that day just fine. Patience is all you got sometimes.

It's nearly there..... those 157's are tough as nails, I bet that it's fine......
