NGD H157 Classic- UPS didn't kill it

Serial number begins with W. It is NOS. The label says chestnut sunburst, but it has some ox blood red in it.

It is light for a H157 at 9 lbs. 3 oz. The neck is medium.

It has the original strings, which are oxidized. I'm in the process of doing a setup. It will probably need a little nut filing, but I'm not sure.

The most important thing is pics, so here they are.

The back is one piece and is ox blood/wine.

That's an attractive axe and good it arrived in one piece. Your other post about the UPS accident made me a little nervous, since my H110 also was making its way through Maumee, OH about the same time as your H157, and it stayed there for about 22 hours before moving on to Wyoming, MI and then Oshtemo for delivery.

Nut filed, bridge and neck adjusted, restrung.

Wow. It's a joy to play, sounds great, and isn't a back breaker.

Heritage did this one right.

Nice guitar Mark!

reminds me very much of a 1974 lespaul custom I used to have...

How does it do with jazz (what you play most, right?)?

I wouldn't blame the instrument for any shortcoming in my jazz playing.

It sounds like a good Les Paul.

The tones are similar to this but not exactly the same.
