Mahogany Eagle arrives.

Very warm sounding acoustically, and the Heritage #3 sounds every bit as decent as the one on the GE. I rolled the dice on this one blind..so far so good.

I'll be surprised if a prettier picture is posted today.

I'd be most interested in a spruce vs. mahogany tone report.

Good score.

I'd love to hear the difference between the two tops too.

Sweet looking guitar. Congrats.

Going by my experience with other hog top guitars, this should be very warm, as opposed to spruce. And especially compared to maple. That is one classy looking guitar!

Thanks to all for the well wishes!

Acquiring her out of curiosity more than anything first impressions are there's something to this mahogany thing that's well, warm and inviting.

Saw this in jazz forum. Just effin beautiful. MAN I dig this. You have a serious beauty here man. I LOVE it. Love how dressed down it is... yet how elegant it is.

Please say you are doing a demo video or something. I'd really love to hear it's mahogany goodness.

Now THAT is a beauty !

Both instruments are sweet, but I do love the look of that mahogany ..... it makes for a fine sounding guitar, I'm sure.

Man, that Mahogany Eagle has old school class!

That is as close to a Heritage acoustic as you can get these days. The warmth of the Mahogany should allow you to experiment with roundwounds for more volume than flatwounds. I'd recommend LaBella HRS Series nickle plated 12-52's if interested in something fat yet with subtle acoustic/electric overtones.

Also, from your close-up photo, it looks like the top has subtle scratches in it. If so you might try some Virtuosso Cleaner to get them out. Follow up with their Polish and stand back! It is sold at most Guitar Centers.

I love that mahogany eagle. It must be wonderfully warm and lucious to play. Great acquisition! Play it in great health and enjoy.
