He only heard fables of H-357's. I can't afford it. But I asked him to get me a quote for one. I'll sell a few to afford it if I have to. But I want one before Marv stops building them. And if I order now I might be able to pick it up at PSP VI.

He had to call his sales rep to find out if they truly exist. The sales rep assured him that they do, but production is very limited.

They had a couple of beautiful Heritages in stock. Just two. But they were beautiful specimens. I really liked the VSB Prospect. The burnt amber 157 was really nice too. I'm tempted. So many guitars, such limited funds.

It took 2 1/2 months to get mine but I think it was all luck to go so fast.

Naw Dee Bee--yew gotta git rid of 'dem ahrs & 'dem tees if you gonna try 'n talk lighk us...ma'an (I'm from the SC shore--and sometimes I'm amazed at some of the accents that I hear in the upper part of the state!--they can be most endearing--and at times, they can also be....challenging)

BTW---Don't buy that old wives tale that the plural of "ya'll" is "all ya'll......IT'S NOT!....The southern plural of "ya'll" is actually "ya'll"....It's simple & to the point. That's how we do things down here---complicated takes too much time and it's too hot most of the time to mess w/ that!

I totally understand PK. PSP had the same effect on me. Had I not just bought a new home my order would be already in.

I didn't want to bring that up but, yep. If you carry a photo of you and a friend in front of the Gibson Store in Nashville holding a 550 and a 535 and a bottle of red Alabama dirt you might get better service.

There is no y'all singular. That's the biggest mistake.

Last I heard, Marv is working three days a week now. You could take the "sink or swim approach". Submit your H-357 specs with your choice of pickups, finish, and so on, talk your dealer into a low deposit, and, if the price sounds right, go for it, with the idea that somehow you will have the cash when your instrument is ready.

"I'm kind of deliberately not ordering a third one so some of you guys have a chance to get yours :)"

Now, there's a true gentleman! ;)
