Heritage sale and journey story

Sometimes things work out the way they should. Sometimes the world is a good and fair place.

Recently I sold a Heritage archtop to a HOC member in Greece. This transaction occurred over months between two people who never met each other and were separated by an ocean. It could not have happened without mutual blind trust. The only thing that bound us was our word.

Each of us could have taken advantage of the other if that was our goal. Neither of us would have had meaningful recourse if we were ripped off.

I'm happy to report that the guitar arrived a few hours ago unharmed and is in the hands of someone who can truly appreciate it.

Well played...both of you! Given the shrill distrustful atmosphere, seemingly everywhere, just now, this is good to hear. It means something. Thanks for sharing, Mark.

Two good people making it work! You both listened to Mr. Rogers lessons.

Great to hear that, especially after hearing what happened to Grubber and the non disclosed "2".

The first guitar I ever bought, a 1958 Gibson ES125, was sold and shipped to a guy in Spain. Much like your story, that transaction also went well.

I've just completed a similar deal, selling a 150 to a new member on here from France. Trust is an amazing thing :)

I'm expecting an NHGD from that member as soon as he's finished thrashing his new Slash pickups and taken a few pics ;)

Like was said before, it's great to know that there are still honest people left on this crazy ball. Kudos to you both for a transaction well handled.

The only transaction I've done with members here was with KBP but I wouldn't hesitate to deal with any of the regular posters here.
