A friend of mine was asking me about the SAE but I really don´t know much about it. Has anybody played or have one?

I know it has a maple body with mahogany neck and a piezzo bridge, but sound wise I have know idea...Anybody?

It's a laminate semi-hollow (or semi-solid as Heritage would say) that is the entry level axe in the Millennium series. I had one and liked it.

I didn't have the Baggs pickup, so technically mine was just a H158.

If you are considering the cherry H158 on TGP, my approach would be to replace the electronics.

Thanks for the info. It looks like a cool guitar...

It's not for me, but that's the one on TGP he was talking about. I would definitely change the electronics also.

I've got a Millennium SAE (Kenny's old one) and I love it.

I have been thinking about changing the electronics but then I think, what will it really get me he ?

I have also been thinking about losing the piezos because I just don't use it.

Thoughts on changing the electronics?

Now that I keep thinking about it, I kinda want that guitar. I'm definitely in the market for a used Heritage (actually two) since I'm going to the US in a couple of days. I also have a couple of extra Gibson 57s around and could try them. But then again, I want a Prospect, a Cherry 535, etc...so many!

I actually like the fact it has the piezos...

Bet it's not the same SAE they're talking about. Hope not, anyway. Yours is killer. Could swap pickups, maybe. But it's fairly rare. FYI, the SAE and the Millennium SAE are two different beasts.
