Gillnetter Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I drove two hours north yesterday to look at a 2002 H555 that a guy listed on CL. He was the original owner and purchased the guitar in 2002 from a shop in CA. The guitar had never left the house since it was purchased until it left with me. Its in Mint condition. Rarely played over the past 10 years. Its an H555 Antique natural with ebony fretboard, Shaller Pu's, Roller bridge. It still had the factory strings on it.
FredZepp Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Very nice ! It even has the 3 piece flamed maple neck. And the front and back, both have great looking wood and finish. You picked up a great one in mint condition.
tulk1 Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 That sure makes the 2 hr drive worth it!! Nice score.
Hfan Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Sounds like a practically new one, worth the drive, congrats. So 2 Heritages every 3 weeks = 1 every week and a half so in one year you should have how many?
Gitfiddler Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Wow, that is one flamin' flamer you've got! Enjoy that rare bird.
grubber Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Dont feel too badly, I have aquired 6 Heritages in about 8 weeks. Right around PSP--it is an addiction in quality. Just wish I hadnt pissed away so much money on crap guitars over the years.
sakis26 Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Just wish I hadnt pissed away so much money on crap guitars over the years. +1 so true
Steiner Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Sounds like a practically new one, worth the drive, congrats. So 2 Heritages every 3 weeks = 1 every week and a half so in one year you should have how many? That's easy. Let's see; a train leaves New York at the same time another train leaves... Nope. That won't work. How 'bout we just say - 8. Regardless of the math, that's a stellar example of a 555! Enjoy.
PunkKitty Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Beautiful 555. What other Heritage did you acquire?
Gillnetter Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 M Beautiful 555. What other Heritage did you acquire? I picked up a 96 H150C in ACB
TalismanRich Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Oh my! That thing is outstanding. I've driven a lot farther for less. I can't understand someone buying such a great guitar and not playing it.
golferwave Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Beautiful! I love the Antique Natural finish. Enjoy!
Steiner Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 $1,650.00 You said: Three weeks ago I had zero Heritage guitars now I have two... And I said: P? I wasn't prying into your wheeling and dealing although I think you got a fab price. That's the top of the line model in Heritage's best selling shape (I hear.) I have a 575 Custom with very similar appointments and paid about the same coin. I've already doubled my money in entertainment value alone. I bet you will do the very same. Congrats and welcome to the collective.
