sakis26 Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Its not happening often to have 2 NGD in one single week by 2 members of the forum presenting these rare beasts but....i present you the HERITAGE SUPER KENNY BURRELL which is the nr.013 in production line of this paricular model (i hope its a lucky 13!!!).Bought from mr.MG and arrived at me about a week ago in excellent condition (not a single mark on it).A 2003 model in antique natural finish with some really nice features like:5 piece flame maple neck, solid carved spruce top (very tight grain),HRW pickups, gold imperial tuners and a gold fine tuner finger tailpiece.I visited my guitar tech 2 days ago to have it adjusted the way i wanted and put on some Thomastik Infeld 0.14 flatwound strings. This guitar has the loudest acoustic sound ive ever heard in an archtop with 2 built in pickups (sure the 18'' and the spruce top add to the acoustic volume but still is surprisingly loud). The TI 0.14 flat strings and the HRW neck pickup give this instrument a fat and woody tone (played through a Rivera Jazz Suprema 112 amp) which reminds me some of the old recorings of mr.Burrell.Lat night she had her first gig and i really loved her sound in the club.Enough talk!!!The following pics are taken by a previous owner (i'll take some pics when i find some time).Enjoy responsibly!!!

Congrat's on that killer archtop brother! Having bought 2 from Marty I couldn't agree more. He's one knowledgeable and exceptional seller!
sakis26 Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 Hmm strange thing...super Kenny Burrell is 3'' deep so it supposed to be more easy to play than lets say its Gibson twin brother the Gibson super 400.Now dont get me wrong its easy to play but in comparison to my 18'' Super Eagle which is also 3'' deep and my Elferink 18'' archtop (also 3'' deep) it seems....BIG and more heavy and these are two reasons its my favorite archtop,i mean it feels like a REAL guitar bot like a toy.
