lb61906 Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 If so, I would love to see some pictures. I am planning on placing a custom order for a new Heritage this week. Thanks, JJ
DetroitBlues Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I think there are some nice 525's on here... At least I think that is the big hollowbody P90 equipped guitar.

MartyGrass Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I certainly have used P90s in archtops for years. There's nothing wrong with going that way. I'd also suggest considering ordering your guitar with humbucker routing. That will be much more flexible for pickup changes. You can put anything from low output single coils to P90s to hot humbuckers. If you order it with routing for dogear P90s, there are limited options. Make sure that's what you want.
big bob Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I have prails in my 575, best of both worlds.
Gitfiddler Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Hopefully brother Yoslate will chime in about his amazing Super Eagle P90.

heritagefan7 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I've got a great Large body p90 archtop that is a non Heritage (Guild x500t). It's a great git. I also have a 574 but it has humbuckers. If you are curious abt the p90 archtop sound, I agree w/ Martygrass that it is a great sound. So many folks here w/ amazing archtops...and in terms of Heritage...there just is no body better IMO.
FredZepp Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I found this pic and thought of this thread....

yoslate Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 ...and did I have a blast playing it out, at the Blues Challenge. The Big Girl's going to Memphis, in January. Jump and swing blues on Beale! I'm already excited! How lucky can one boy be?

I'm already excited! How lucky can one boy be? Glad to here that ROB!!!! I am also glad that you prove that the good ol' fashion P90s can be played just fine. A little hum hurts no one, and contrary to what others have posted, can be utilized just fine and have for over 70 years. Turn volume down between songs. Turn up to play the blues!!! Good for you my friend!!!
