PunkKitty Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 That's some nice work, Brian. I may still send that 5f1 kit to you. My brother hasn't gotten back to me about it. I spoke to him about it and he's booked for the next month. Then he starts getting into the holiday season. That's his busiest time of the year. I'm really tempted just to pay you and get it built right.

PunkKitty Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I already sent a note to Brian. The parts are packed. I have a cabinet from a Fender Frontman 15R. I just need his address. It's a birthday present to myself.

kbp810 Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Had some slight delay waiting for the new faceplate, but it's all done and ready to rock! Just needs to find it's way home to Matt and back into it's cabinet Here are some before and after shots: Before: After: Before: After:
kbp810 Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 And my own personal favorite touch Before: And After:
DetroitBlues Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Awesome! Looks Great. He's going to love plugging into that amp! That's a nice little "touch" too.
H Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Looks so much cleaner when it's PTP. Great work and I love the 'de-modified'
Hfan Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 wow Brian, just came across this thread. Nice work. How long would you say all this took? Great idea. This has also reconfirmed my goal of only owning point to point in the future.
t0aj15 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 It's also my first visit to this thread, very nice work indeed. Really like the de-modded concept. Kind of like 'makin somethin out of nuthin'.
schundog Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Ah, but wait.... Mild mannered KBP810, aka The Green Horny has done more to this amp than merely soup it up and render it point to point, methinks. I was looking at his pics, and realized that he replaced the stock, unscrewable red jewel light with his trademark green screw-on type. I twisted mine off of my Tweed Deluxe to show Grubber what he's getting. It DEFINITELY adds tone..... http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/zz327/schundog/summer2012051-1.jpg[/img]"]http://

grubber Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Cant wait to play this bad boy! Thank you very much Brian for your expertise!!!
DetroitBlues Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Ah, but wait.... Mild mannered KBP810, aka The Geen Horny. ... Um, there are just some things about Brian I don't want to know....
Hfan Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 What is your point Pete? That pcb / operational amp equipped amps may be difficult or impossible to repair. If Brian had a hard time what would that mean for the rest of us?
DetroitBlues Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 That pcb / operational amp equipped amps may be difficult or impossible to repair. If Brian had a hard time what would that mean for the rest of us? He tried to fix my Peavey Valveking. The micro PCB boards are impossible to fix...
PunkKitty Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I just packed up my 5f1 kit. I'm shipping it to Brian tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting it back.
