MartyGrass Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 There's not much to say that the pictures don't tell you. This is the best time I've seen to buy guitars and probably the worst to sell them. Of course it's the economy. No matter how politicians spin it, it's gonna be a rough ride. I figure that in a few years Heritage guitars will appreciate. People will always want "the real deal". I don't know how much longer the owners will be personally making Heritages, but the ones they make will always be special.
eljay Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 i was playing my 157 a few minutes ago. great axes, good on ya, tin man, er, mr. rogers!

FredZepp Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Nice warm finish on that one... and a gold switch tip..
bolero Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 ps here's a "tip" for anyone with a gold/brass switch tip put a dab of blue loctite on the threads of the gold ( brass? ) switch tip....mine kept coming loose but ever since I did that it's been solid!! I wouldn't use red loctite though, you will have a hard time getting it off
sakis26 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I love that finish one of my favorites but...hey i see you turn into the ''Les Paul-ish'' guitar world so what happened to the archtop guy i knew ?Anyway...enjoy your guitar!!!
Steiner Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I wouldn't use red loctite though, you will have a hard time getting it off Not with a guitar that pretty!
Hfan Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 ps here's a "tip" for anyone with a gold/brass switch tip put a dab of blue loctite on the threads of the gold ( brass? ) switch tip....mine kept coming loose but ever since I did that it's been solid!! I wouldn't use red loctite though, you will have a hard time getting it off The blue loctite will work, considered temporary if you need to remove the component. Works great on everything even frying pan handles, anything exposed to vibrationsetc red is considered permanent, great stuff.sorry I digress.. Beautiful 157 Marty, love how that grained pick guard sets it off. True classic.
MartyGrass Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 I haven't had problems with gold toggle switch caps. We'll see. I have a good stockpile of blue locktite. This is left over from my gunsmithing days and has been useful for Schaller roller bridges.
heritagefan7 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 This is my dream 157 (w/ the osb a close second) and has been since I got my first Heritage....My greatest congratulations on such a beautiful instrument--that is now part of a great family of Heritage gits.
