PunkKitty Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Very cool, eljay. I'm sure he'll love it. Make sure that he comes and joins the forum.
DetroitBlues Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Thanks! I didn't realize we were brothers. Still need my address? Lol. I'm sure your brother will love it.
Steiner Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I didn't know the Bird was selling his 137. You know what "economy shipping" is... Duct tape over the locks and dropped off in the mailbox. Is this the discerning Brother of good taste who chooses to use GT cables? I'd say he deserves this guitar. Good on you ElJay.
heritagefan7 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 What a great bro!...Great and generous gift---your'e an example to us all eljay. Thanks
Gitfiddler Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Nice brotherly move, Eljay. Now maybe I'll forgive your intrusion over on the LP Forum!
koula901 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 That guitar has a lot of mojo, baby, your bro will love it.
NewGuy Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Jason Lollar is also da man w/ regards to his PUPS . enjoy !
Spectrum13 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Me thinks this allows LJ to custom order a 137 with an ebony board. Larry has not had a NHGD since August if anyone can remember that far back.
eljay Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 spectrum, you've made the connection. i toyed briefly with gettin' myself the 137 custom build, trans black and all, and letting my bro have my existing 137 on extended loan. but, this plan was not in the cards, financially speaking. then, this nice tv 137 appears in the marketplace and "bill me later" financing provides low, low monthly pmts, interest free for 18 months. "what's not to like?"
schundog Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 A very nice gesture on your part, Larry! Of course, since YOU didn't have to PAY for YOUR 137 in the FIRST place.... Lucky dog, you.. I think you've done your fair share to keep Parsons Street humming along ever since then, though!
