FredZepp Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Ha... I found this video from a couple of years ago... it's not for the meek. It's an intense, short, hard-rockin' vid of my H-150. Freakin' wild.
bolero Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 to quote Dick Dale: "better shred than dead" awesome bit of self indulgant wanking
fxdx99 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Wow - that's some fun electric guitar right there, Fred! Is that all amp just cranked up or did you have a drive into it? Killer scream. Did you notice the vids that youtube placed at the conclusion of yours?... talk about random!
koula901 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Go Fred! You were channeling your inner Brently!
Bon Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 to quote Dick Dale: "better shred than dead" awesome bit of self indulgant wanking I think this sums it up for me.Well said.
FredZepp Posted October 8, 2012 Author Posted October 8, 2012 to quote Dick Dale: "better shred than dead" awesome bit of self indulgant wanking Exactly !! It is a fairly non-musical piece that I found while looking through some old vids, but it has energy and intensity. There are moments for that sometimes. It's not my everyday thing.. just a bit of fun. Wow - that's some fun electric guitar right there, Fred! Is that all amp just cranked up or did you have a drive into it? Killer scream. Did you notice the vids that youtube placed at the conclusion of yours?... talk about random! It's probably pretty loud... I'm going through a 120 watt Markley tube combo, but maybe that pod is being used also..
JeffB Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Some times you have to do that! Good stuff! Lots of gain in that Markley amp if it is unassisted!! I nearly bought the 60w 112 version of that amp years ago. When I finally had the cash to do it the last one was gone and they werent bringing anymore in. I went to practice a few days later and the other guitar player had a new amp, the Dean Markley that was meant to be mine! He still has it. He came with me to try it out and then snaffled it up before I could.

I have a 40w 112 that is incredible what it will do at any volume, sweet sustain and overdriven gain even at a really low volume. And it gets loud also. The other one is a 60/120w 212 and that one you do have to drive it quite a bit to get that rich sustain. But it's amazing at a decent volume and will blow the walls down when cranked. Love the tone on it. ( I always thought that it was cool that the serial # on that one is 0001 )
JeffB Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Actually, it was the 40w 112 not 60w. Time and stuff stood in the way of clarity of memory.
