bluesgolfer Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Just ordered a 157 from Jay Wolfe with all the usual features that Jay Wolfe puts on his orders. Ordered nickel instead of gold hardware. Was surprised to hear that the nickel hardware was less expensive than the gold. Told him to leave the pickguard unmounted per his recommendation, which makes sense. Asked for solid body. Aked to shoot for under 9 lbs. Jay likes a combo of 59 in the neck and seth in the bridge. He said that the 59 in the neck would give it a little more bite, a little brighter. I figured that the ebony board should brighten it up a little anyway so I went with Seths in neck and bridge. Color - Flamey Vintage wineburst. Told 8-10 weeks. Originally, I had intended to order a 150 with ebony board and block inlays but it was actually more that way than just getting a 157.
DetroitBlues Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Congrats! Can't wait to see the finished product.
bluesgolfer Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 This is the worst part about custom ordering a guitar, the looonnggg wait.

skydog52 Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Congrats on your order. Always good to hear. I know you'll love the Wineburst. Need to keep the Heritage alive!

And with the 157 you get the nice diamond pattern inlay on the Headstock and double binding. Congrats, I love my 157 which was a local CL find.
