DetroitBlues Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Adding a logo to the Marshall clone. Problem is I don't know exactly how high it's supposed to go....anyone have a Bluesbreaker or a 18w 1974?
DetroitBlues Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 Yes, but what is the height and the center point of the logo?
Blunote Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 The logo itself is about 5.875" long by 1.575" high. The logo is mounted .340" above the horizontal piping separating the grill cloth from the tolex covered panel the logo is mounted to. The logo itself is centered across the length of the cabinet.
DetroitBlues Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Is it glued on or does it use pegs?
Blunote Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Not entirely sure whether it's glued or has pegs. This one was attached when I bought it.
DetroitBlues Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 KBP gave me some brilliant advice for installing the logo right the first time. I'm looking forward installing it tonight!
Blunote Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 And I don't think the placement has to be that exact. I noticed a marhall 1974x on ebay that seemed to have the logo a full inch north of the piping.
DetroitBlues Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 All Done! Thanks for your help everyone!
DetroitBlues Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Is this counterfeit?? It's a tribute to the original and cannot be sold under the premise of being anything otherwise...
Guest HRB853370 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 It's a tribute to the original and cannot be sold under the premise of being anything otherwise... You should return it to KBP, he is probably already missing it.
DetroitBlues Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 You should return it to KBP, he is probably already missing it. Never his to begin with... Sure wish it would sell though...
kidsmoke Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 beautiful amp, DB. I don't need that "color" in my arsenal, but that's a beautiful amp.
DetroitBlues Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 It's really close in tone to my Blues Jr...
