eljay Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 i gotta pay down quite a bit of debt before any more guitars come my way. oye! still, one can look, and i did: http://www.buffalobrosguitars.com/images35000-35999/ngc35924-heritageh535/index.html
tsp17 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 i'm planning on going there tomorrow. they've also got a couple of 50's Tweeds, a 64 Princeton and other stuff i've been wanting to demo. That 530 will be on my list. I'll report back.
DetroitBlues Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 That is the American cousin of my Dot. I know, not much of a comparison....
Guest HRB853370 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 That is the same color as my 550. Lets see if I have a pic for ya'all.
GASguy Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 That 535 is a beauty, with a slightly different look to it because of the finish color and figure in the grain. My first Heritage was a used 555 D-VIP I bought from Buffalo Bros; of course I still have it. The 530 looks pretty nice also but it is not as striking as the 535.
bolero Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 that looks incredible!! I wonder if they put some black stain on the wood before the red? there's definitely some dark woodgrain under there..wow I like it
tsp17 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 i was there today. the 535 is indeed beautiful. but the 530 is the one that caught my eye. so much so that i did not even play the 535. the 535 is very cool though; the wood and color are as striking in person as in the pic. i will post a full Buffalo Bros visit report under "Family Tree"
Number8 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 There is a man's face (nose and left eye) visible in the back of that guitar. Middle pair of pictures, the one on the right. Clear as day. Creepy.
