schundog Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Wow... Congratulations, and welcome to the 555 club! That thing is an incredibly beautiful example of the model. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!
SouthernCanuck Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 Here you go.... awesome 555 !! Thank you - I was having some technical difficulty - actually, just ignorance...! S_C
Gitfiddler Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Yeow! Nice flamin' triple nickel!! Play it in good health.
GASguy Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Just drop dead gorgeous! That vintage wineburst finish really looks great.
SouthernCanuck Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 I love it. I guess I lucked out in a way - that an e-bay 555 would have all the appointments that I like... especially Chrome hardware and MOP Block inlays. This is definitely a great find for me, and I gratefully appreciate the advice and wisdom that I received from this board - the neck is great for me (trending to a thinner carve), the Seth Lovers "growl", and I am enjoying it immensely. Plus it is beautiful - far more beautiful than the e-bay seller was able to capture. Thanks, S_C
Mickbarbee Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 You scored! Gorgeous flame and coloring and an unbelievable price. Have fun with it,
Keith7940236 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 That is fantastic, congratulation on a real beauty.
skydog52 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Wow! What a beauty. H-555s are one of the nicest models they make. Congratulations
Gillnetter Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Beautiful. Welcome to the 555 club. I ws playing mine today, and what a versatile instrument
FredZepp Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I see that I missed this pic... it's too nice to skip...
SouthernCanuck Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 I see that I missed this pic... it's too nice to skip... Thanks again - can you explain how you got the pictures to post? It will help me for next time... I'm not sure what I was doing wrong - but I'm guessing I was selecting the wrong tags? S_C
James535 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Plus it is beautiful - far more beautiful than the e-bay seller was able to capture. Thanks, S_C I found that with my 535 eBay purchase as well. In the photos it did look quite plain but when I went to collect the flame was so stunning and subtle. I loved it! Congrats on your purchase, it really is a stunning example
2bornot2bop Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Hot trip 5! Love those traditional inlays. Congrats!!!
