Hi Gents,

I'm in the process of custom ordering a 535. I was wondering if its also possible to choose the color of a case's interior. I think the standard interior is brown, right? Though, I remember seeing purple as well. Anyone know???

I tried using the search fucntion but couldn't find the answer.

Thanks!

I haven't seen that question raised here before. If no one else can give an answer, your dealer should be able to find out for you.

Or call the factory directly. Just do it early in the a.m. M-Th.

Just to throw another colour into that mix you mentioned, my 535 case is black lined! So perhaps you can ask for the colour you want.

Have they always used the same case supplier? that also could be the answer as to why there are a few different colours...

I recently got a new 535, the case lining is a maroon color. I wonder if they get cases with various colors and just match them with guitar finishes that contrast nicely with the lining. I'm looking around for a sturdier case, if maroon is the color you want I'll sell you mine cheap when I get a new one. Let us know what you find about ordering a specific color Heritage.

Heritage use TKL cases as far as I'm aware. TKL's site makes no mention of different colour way options that I can find. Perhaps an email to them would help?

There are a few versions and levels of the TKL cases. I talked to the TKL reps this summer and they were very into customer service. I'm sure if you contact them they can tell you which ones they use. I am curious as well to which case TKL uses for the heritage.

Maybe buy a bolt of your preferred color at a fabric store, and send it to the case maker? Just make sure the material is nitro safe.

That's what I did for a TKL case and it worked out fine. If you Google it, you can find out how to reline a case by yourself which is what I did. I bought a tweed TKL 16" archtop case that had a doodoo brown crushed velvet lining. It's now lined with royal blue velvet. It's not difficult at all. Just remember to get a glue that won't gas out and destroy your finish. If you call the case company, they should give you some suggestions for that.

The Cases can be custom ordered. Some dealers provide cases.Heritage cases will always have the brand name on them.Black on black usually.Pretty sure Harptone made the American Eagle cases.I also had them make one for my Super Eagle.White Gator with Green velvet lining. It will be like pulling teeth though. They don't make money on these, and it's just one more thing.Check Harptone for their options. This is where they will most likely go.Good Luck

You can have any color you want as long as its black....

Not so. Both my 535 cases have a maroon interior. I believe the exterior is always black, but perhaps it could be custom ordered. I would like to have all mine be PINK on the outside. Breast cancer awareness month.

I don't think I ever looked at the case when I opened it. I always stared at the beautiful guitar inside.

Honestly, I don't know the inside cover colors. I think most are black, but I may have a maroon one too.

I guess I just didn't care about the case color.

AND btw, not all Heritage cases come with "The Heritage" on them. In a pinch or when back ordered, the cases come without the lettering on them.

It was an old Ford Motor Co. joke...
