jaywolfe Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Just hung up from speaking with Lane- Heritage Owners have reached an agreement with new Part Owner Vince Margol, an Attorney- business man & hobby Guitarist in Kal. Contracts should be signed in a day or 2. Plans include: Back to work next week (Hoo Freakin RAY!). Parts have been ordered from suppliers for guitars that are near completion & for bin stock (yay!). ALL current players remain in place (YAY!). Lane & crew will have a NAMM booth. Vince will be da Prez. I'll post more as it comes in, which should be this week. This all looks GOOD! Jay (Praying for guitars) Wolfe
JohnCovach Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 I'm delighted to hear this, Jay. Fresh energy is just what's needed and now the re-emergence of a presence at NAMM--great! Thanks for posting this!
mscottwalker Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Great news! Looks like I picked a good day to join the club... Thanks for the info.
chico Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 This is indeed great news! Thanks Jay. Ray P Madison, WI.
GuitArtMan Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Thanks for the update Jay. You da man! Bob
golferwave Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 That's the news we've all been waiting for Jay! Thanks for making my day. Back to NAMM - That's great, now how about some advertising again? I know they have back orders and all but they need to keep their name out front. I hope all of the members here at this forum and around the country get the guitars that they've been eagerly awaiting very soon and that you get more for your stock as well. I've noticed that they were dwindling.
Thundersteel Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Thanks for the update, Jay! P.S. I'll be visiting your store on Saturday. See you then!
yoslate Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I do hope we're done with the rapids...! Thanks for the posting, Jay.
Emmitt O. Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Jay: That is very good new, indeed. I'd sure be interested to know who else is involved in the ownership of Heritage. We certainly are living in interesting times. Thanks. Emmitt O.
squawken Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 There is a store here in NJ that has 4 or 5 150CM's, a lefty, and a 140, and they are not moving at all! I bought a 150 CM about 5 weeks ago, and I already want another Heritage, but for the most part, all the guitars at the store are the same as I have at home. So if anyone is dire need...
JohnCovach Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 What's the name of the store? Do they have a website?
squawken Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 The store is called Music Boutique. The store is relatively new so their website isn't up yet. Their phone number is 609-927-2770. I had a bad experience at Guitarget, so I decided to stop at this store, and it's where I got into Heritage. They also have some Heritage hollow bodies, but I couldn't tell you which kind-my eyes were focused on the 150's. Good luck!
Gitfiddler Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Jay, thanks for the great news!! A NAMM appearance is a HUGE positive sign!!
Yankeefan01 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Jay, thanks for the update. Great news indeed. And with the NAMM showing it sounds like they're coming back with a vengeance.
CrustHunter Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Even though I am not at this moment in the market for a new Heritage that is sooooooooooo very good to hear. Thanks Jay
skydog52 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Thanks Jay, This is great news. I have a Millennium DC on order and can't wait. Glad to hear those great guys are staying on for awhile. They will show them how to make a great guitar! Made my day.
Dick Seacup Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I'll pile on...thanks, Jay! If ever there was an asset to the Heritage "network," it has to be you.
tsgv575 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I'm new to this place- just discovered it last week while looking for news developments on Heritage's fate. Glad to find it and also the good news. New blood should be a good thing. My thought- maybe the new owners will ratchet up product development a bit, too. It'd really be a plus, and nice to see, some innovations coming from Heritage Guitars.
davesultra Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Great to hear they're going to try to keep Heritage alive. I really think an updated website would definitely be to their benefit. The current one is a bit antiquated.
Gitfiddler Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 "I really think an updated website would definitely be to their benefit. The current one is a bit antiquated." Dave, that is the understatement of the decade!!
GuitArtMan Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Dave, that is the understatement of the decade!! Hey they still make guitars like they did in the '50s, so the fact they have an early '90s website is a good thing! ;D
JohnCovach Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I especially like the term "fad-goods"!! What is a fad-good anyway? And what's the fad?
