22Frets Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Hello. My first post here, and I am here for one reason: an ebony fretboard. I have a couple of Gibson Les Pauls, but my dream has been to own a Les Paul that has an ebony board. I don't like trying to find used, or dealing with the local guy who has cornered the market on used. I brainstormed a little, and found Heritage offers exactly what I want and need in the H 157. I am in the Phoenix/Tucson area though, and I don't know of a local dealer in Heritage instruments. So, here is my question. How do I get a hold of a Heritage H 157 in Arizona, where do I go to find it, and what would the price be for a new build to order? If anyone can help, I would be most appreciative. 22Frets
davesultra Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Check out the Heritage website under "Dealers". You have to go through an authorized dealer in order to order one.
Guest HRB853370 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 And if you don't want to order, you may find exactly what you want in a dealer's inventory. Jay Wolfe will ship anywhere in the country. He is purportedly the largest Heritage dealer in the world with stores in Tennessee and Florida. The name of the shop is Wolf Guitars.
Billgelder Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I agree with slammer. Call Jay Wolfe @ (561) 746-2209 in Jupiter, FL. He with get you exactly what you want. http://www.wolfeguitars.com
High Flying Bird Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Don't forget to check the buy and sell section here. If you do a custom order they will make it just how you like it.
Thundersteel Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I have a couple of Gibson Les Pauls, but my dream has been to own a Les Paul that has an ebony board LP Customs have ebony boards, but if you are seeking a Heritage, then go with the H157.
Gitfiddler Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Another option for a used 157...Keep an eye out on the Guitar Center Used Instrument site. If a 157 pops up that strikes your fancy, have them ship it to the Tucson, AZ GC. Definitely keep an eye out for one here on the HOC. They are more rare than 150's, but they do come up. Just ask Brent!
mtpatty Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 MY 1999 H150 has an ebony board- so that is an option too!

I live on the west side of Phoenix, and I've ordered 2 H150s from Wolfe with no problems. AFAIK, there aren't any Heritage dealers in the area. rooster.
bluesgolfer Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 How much? Slammer: Ordered my 157 two weeks ago from Wolfe. I wanted an ebony board with block inlays and was going to go with a 150 because I didn't want the gold hardware of the 157. Wolfe put the numbers together and told me it was actually less expensive to go with a 157 with nickel hardware than to upgrade the 150. So, I ordered the 157 with all of the normal Wolfe features.
