High Flying Bird Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I took the 535 over to Jojo's and changed the strings the other night. I cleaned it up as best I could. It was laying there on the table and I thought... "I have never got a good shot of this guitar. Tonight I took my camera and tripod over and took a few pics. Just the light of the bulbs in the room. No flash. Listening to Jefferson Airplane and Mountain Jam, playing along with this sweet baby! Dig it!
High Flying Bird Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 I almost forgot about this one.....
big bob Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Looks like fun. When are we gonna get some sound clips!
nachogrande Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Chestnut burst, check! Bigsby tremolo, check! HB size single coil pups, check! Extra bindings, check! Block inlays, check! Custom truss rod cover, check! Shiny knobs, check! Yeah, I can live with those... Very beautiful and looks pretty elegant.
Steiner Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Wow. You captured the nuance of the burst very well. Nice shootin', Tex.
LK155 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Maybe the nicest H535 I've ever seen, Bird. Rock on!
fxdx99 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Sweet! What a beauty - bigs/knobs/blocks/phatcats make it unique. See the pu selector switch is in the correct position. Nice. Rock on, sir.
DavesNotHere Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I almost forgot about this one..... ..wish you had. Damn, Jim looks pissed. Did you punish him by making him play a Tom Petty song? The other ones look great though!
Guest HRB853370 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Maybe the nicest H535 I've ever seen, Bird. Rock on! Thats a 555 not a 535!

High Flying Bird Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Damn, Jim looks pissed. Did you punish him by making him play a Tom Petty song? No, Hoyt will do that to us tonight.
High Flying Bird Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Thats a 555 not a 535! Nope, a 535 custom. Ebony fretboard is nice though!
High Flying Bird Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 See the pu selector switch is in the correct position. Even when I play unplugged I will change the selector switch while playing.
Keith7940236 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Beautiful, man I love the look of that guitar.
Gitfiddler Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Ron, even without the custom trc, that gitfiddle would never be mistaken for anyone's but yours! It reminds me of a customized '57 Cadillac with chrome everything!!
bolero Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I took the 535 over to Jojo's and changed the strings the other night. I cleaned it up as best I could.
