Emmitt O. Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Gang: Just curious as to what other guitars are owned/played by the members here. Thanks. Emmitt O.
yoslate Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 My 576 and a 150, of course; -a '73 cherry-burst Les Paul Deluxe I've had since '75 (unusual 2-piece, bookmatched lightly flamed top!) with a pared down headstock and the back and sides re-fin'd in mahogany, to get rid of that sunburst motif, correct knobs and bell, nickle plated thirty-two years ago - at 3 feet, a creditable '60 -Frankenstein maple Strat, '60's and early '70's parts, your basic Skil-Saw of a guitar -G&L Legacy, rosewood (1-3/4"), garden variety...just an excellent guitar! -'52 re-ish Tele, named "Roy," When I don't want to think about my guitar, this is the one I take! -'73 J-45, records beautifully! -Johnson resonator, nickle plated, Bags of Fun! -And - DON'T LAUGH! - a First Act VW promo guitar...the Garage Master. Mom bought a new Passat six months ago. UPS delivered the guitar a couple of months later. Mom's not gigging anymore, so she gave it to me.... First thing I noticed when I pulled the wires up...intonation, perfect! Got it home, ran it through the Top Hat...Hokey Smokes, Bullwinkle!! They laughed the first time I showed up with it at a local blues jam...until about four bars into the first tune.... Pick-ups are surprisingly strong. They look like Filter-Trons. Plays just fine. Mellow neck tone, bridge bites almost as much as my Tele, middle-position would do Bloomfield proud. I take that one out...a lot..... They're all over e-Bay; best $150 you'll ever pay for a guitar!
Heritage525 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Besides my 5 Heritages, I have a Gretsch Nashville, a Fender Nashville Tele and a Composite Acoustic (CA).
squawken Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I have an old Aria Pro II from Japan, an ESP LTD100, an LP Epiphone, and an old old unplayable hollow body electric (it looks cool). Heritage is number one, Epiphone number 2. The Aria is great for playing AC/DC.
grayta Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 A few Carvins (the bolt-on models are incredible values), my Guild acoustic and an old Yamaha Pacifica that has had eight bazzillion pickups and assorted parts on it and is still kicking butt. Best $200 guitar ever. LOL

Emmitt O. Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 Seems like my "collection" of guitars is a ever moving target, but here's what I have now: Heritage H-576 1997 Gibson ES-335 DOT 2002 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus 2001 G&L ASAT S-3 2004 G&L ASAT Classic 2007 Fender '57 Hot Rod Strat 2006 American Series Strat 2001 Guiild Peregrine 1987 Taylor 510 2003 Deering Boston B-6 2006 Seagull A-12 That's about it. Thanks. Emmitt O.
drewzee87t Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 The Heritage - Millenium 2000 Ltd. Edition Cherry Gibson - 95 LP Custom - Wine, nice guitar, great tone, even good quality, but they filled it with cement at the factory. It's gotta weigh in the 12's. Previous owner was a studio and the setup is fantastic. I imagine they spent a lot of money on fretwork. Parker - Fly Deluxe 96ish black speckle finish - OMFG this guitar kills all. Carbon fiber fingerboard? Lowest smoothest action ever. Brian Moore I2000 - Mid range Les paul ish midi ready guitar, very good for korean and its my beater/synth guitar. Nice looking flame top, great action and setup, sounds decent, nice electronics, hooks right into my 13 pin stuff. Swiss army knife of cheap smelly korean whores! Martin D35 - 1972 brazillian rosewood. This guitar was an R&D model and the stamp states "property of CF Martin Not to be Sold". It was a head chopper that someone rescued in the factory. My favorite of all times. I cannot find any real problems with it, I had to do a neck reset a few years back, but it rings like heaven Larrivee - California Special Edition I think 2001. I forget the model numbers but I think its like an LV09 or something with all the goodies and the headstock has an palm tree inlay of pearl and wood, the twelth fret has a "california" inlay. It's a great looking, great sounding guitar - I am afraid to take it out of the house nice. Ancient Sovereign Harmony acoustic, like a 1960's model. Baseball bat neck. Sounds nice but its hard to play. That one sleeps most of the time in its case, it's not worth selling but I play it once in a while for kicks. All my other guitars have come and gone. At this point I would like to get a tele and maybe a strat, but for a bolt-on guitar I am thinking I might just get a decent kit and build those on the cheap myself with decent hardware and electronics. Who knows. I am not paying Fender prices for that I have had a bunch of them and the humbucker g word guitars always were my preference.
Thundersteel Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 In addition to my H157, I have: 1989 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Black Cherry (I've never seen another one like it); I bought it new in 1990 from Elderly Instruments. 2002 Gibson SG Supreme in Blueburst, also purchased from Elderly; previous owner bought it new, had it only a month before trading it in. 2005 Tacoma C1C Chief acoustic-electric; great sound and playability. Guitars I have regretted selling: 2002 Heritage H150; had graphite nut, Tone Pros bridge/tailpiece, Rio Grande Humbuckers, sounded great! 2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard Raw Power; now their sellling for more than what they were new. 1998? Guild Bluesbird; impeccable construction, great sound, light weight. 1980 Gibson V2; awesome looks, getting hard to find.

Mikenov Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Besides my H150CM I have the following: 1978 Tele - someone sanded down the entire guitar to the wood so its a natural I guess Artcore AS73 - This is my beater but with a good set up and Alnico pro II picups this thing really will suprise you Taylor 314 Its a short list but it gets me to my happy place ..
Dick Seacup Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Right now Hamer, Ovation and Adamas, and Peavey. I've had G&Ls and sometimes get the bug to buy another one. But, instead, I'm going to build my own Tele using the Kirn templates I bought last year.
PacerX Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 See signature. Am adding a Godin Nylon-String with a RMC synth pickup in it this week... date depending on when they shipped it.

Ace Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I hate new the fenders and gibsons. I love Heritage hollow and semi-hollow body guitars. You can't beat em'. I own 2 les paul's--70' deluxe and 72' custom--and 2 strats, 71' sunburst and 73' ash. I also own and old taylor from 94'--back when they built them like Heritage. And, of course, a custom ordered flamey amber sunburst 535 with a neck as big as a baseball bat--wonderful.
