I recently bought Heritage H530 and I'm kind of intersted in what kind of string other owners are using.

I've asked hertitage customer service and they replyed GHS 11-52 set with 14 on second B.

Although GHS customer service replied GHS Boomers 10-46 GBL set. I believe this is preference

issue but would like to hear other players opinion.

Thanks!

I have played DR Pure Blues 10s a few times, but recently went back to my D'Addario 110XLs. The DRs sounded a bit dull on some guitars, like the 535. They weren't bad on the Mille, but in the end I liked the D'Addarios better. I've got a couple of packs of Slinkys to put on next change. At $4 bucks a change, you can try them all.

I very much like the GHS nickel rockers. Quality seems consistently good, and they last quite a while between string changes. A somewhat mellower tone than pure stainless.

I've also tried DR Pure Blues, but of the few sets I've tried, and at least one set that came with a dead string. That led me to question their quality.

I started using Curt Mangan strings after reading about them in a similar thread. I chose a "hybrid" set, 10 - 50 with a wound G. Really like them, very very bendy, and full with that G and slightly heavier Low E. Although I just had a G break at restring, when I was manually stretching it. Grrrrr, gonna chock that up to tech error, and not blame the string. Only drawback is you gotta order them online.
