Hey folks, just played the Sportsmen's Tavern here in beautiful Buffalo, NY. Breaking in my new zydeco project, Black Rock Zydeco, and heavily featuring both my H140CM and H137TV.

Hey Ben! Nice pics!

I'm originally from Buffalo - the West side over by the Peace Bridge. What part do you hail from? Where's the sportsman tavern? Next time I'm in town, I'd like to catch your gig.

Hey - I grew up in Dunkirk. I've been living in Black Rock for the last year or so. Sportsmen's is at 326 Amherst St, between Grant & Military. They do 15-17 shows a week and it's a pretty safe bet to drop in any time and hear something good. I play there every month with Alison Pipitone (who passed Heritage fever along to me - she plays an H170) - our schedule is kept up to date on the FB page & we should have our own website & email list up in the next couple weeks. www.blackrockzydeco.com

I play in a zydeco band in Lafayette, LA...the birth place!

Right on! We love SW LA! Lucky for us, we get to hear greats at nearby summer music fests. Walter Mouton, Preston & Keith Frank, Leroy Thomas, Willis Prudhomme... we're lucky - their successes up here have built something pretty cool and younger zydeco bands are starting to come up here and do well too. I caught Curley Taylor last winter and dug what they're doing. We try to always groove and bring it with authenticity.
