I Saw This Old Gibson Bass Head Today at a Pawn Shop

Shocking, I know, me in a pawn shop, haha. Anyway, I hadn't ever heard of these old things. This one's been around the block, but they only wanted $100 for it. A quick Google search looks like that's about right. It's a GSS100, Made in Kalamazoo.

I owned one also waaay back when. Very versitle. Back then we used it at different times for guitar, bass, and as a PA with the two 2x10 cabs. As Mars says, worked well for bass. Worked good for me on guitar with my SG jr through a Maestro fuzz box. I'll bet it would be a good keyboard amp as well. If I saw it in a pawn shop and had a spare $100, I'd buy it.

Schundog keeps a spare C-note in his shoe for just such an emergency.

I sense you sarcasm, sir....I'll have you know my feet sweat too much for this(disgusting, I know) so I keep any such Emergency Fund (like there is such a thing as a Bass Emergency!) in a secret compartment in the car. It's gotten me into trouble more than once. Well, I bought it. I'll relay the gory details in a new thread.
