Tube question

I had a tube go bad on my 65Reissue Twin Reverb. So, I purchased a matching quad of 6L6's from The Tube Store. Do I need to have the bias checked? All of the tubes are matched with the same number. Any feedback is appreciated?

I did a search Fender twin reverb reissue bias and YES you will need to bias the tubes. Google search and you can find a bunch of posts.

If the amp has a bias pot, yes..

It used to be that guitar players just took their amps to a tech for a retube and bias adjustment was part of the whole amp service thang, including a checkup/dust blowout, jack cleaning pot cleaning, etcetera. But nowadays a surprising number of guitar players after finding out how easy it is to adjust the bias get equipment to test bias themselves, about the cost of a set of tubes to obtain. IMHO that is the best way to go, to have as much control over the amp by the player, of course that also means an opportunity for study and learning. :~)
