Hi Gents,

New forum member and new Heritage owner. I bought this guitar back in August. I didn't want to post until the honeymoon was over. I absolutely love this guitar. It's an '06 H555 with Seth Lovers. It is just so darn easy to play, and it sounds ridiculously good no matter what I run it through. It has such an incredibly warm, classic rock tone. It sounds great clean or dirty. Heck, it even sounds great unplugged. Every time I pick it up, it's easier to play than then one I was holding before it. The neck is a medium to chunky size, and it just feels perfect in my hands. It's beautiful as well...the back is really mental (don't have any pics of back...sorry). I have about 14 nice guitars right now, and this would be the one they'd have to pry out of my cold, stiff fingers. The only downside is that I'm now starting to worry about what would happen if I lost it or something bad happened to it...wish I could clone it!

I also just bought a gorgeous H150 off of Brentrocks...haven't put hardly any time on it yet, but really looking forward to it after my fantastic experience with the H555.

Congrats! That's a beautiful 555. You also did well buying the 150 from Brent. I'm looking forward to the pics.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys. I hear you on Brent...he seems to be a Heritage guitar vending machine. :P His comments on the LP forum about these great guitars are what led me to the brand, and this site. I undoubtedly owe the man a beer some day!

The H150 is a stunner. It has an incredible vintage looking top on it...lots of mineral streaks, and complex grain patterns and colors. It looks different from every angle. My initial impressions are great...just haven't had time to mess with it much yet. I snapped some pics the other week and I'll try to get them posted.

Welcome to the forum JRitt, and your gorgeous 555 looks almost identical to mine! I will send you a pic of it later so you can decide. You have 14 guitars and the Heritage addiction wont stop with the 555 and 150. As you well know, Brent is our resident used Heritage dealer.

Thanks for the nice welcome guys.

I love the finish on that 555... so warm and makes the flames at the edges stand out beautifully.

I have to say, I was blown away when I finally saw the finish in person. It looks sweet in pics, but they definitely don't do it justice. It doesn't have that 'dipped in plastic' feel that many other brands seem to have. I'm not sure if the finish is just thinner, a different composition, or both. Also, the figuring of the wood seems to be far more intricate vs. some other brands. The flames are insane, and the guitar has an incredible 'old wood' look and feel to it. It's tough to describe, but I'm guessing all of you other owners know what I mean. It is a piece of art no doubt.

Forgot to say...my H555 has a mahogany neck.

The only downside I did notice was that the neck was a little stickier than some of my others. I'm guessing that will subside with more play wear.

Really nice 555!

My first Heritage was a 555 and my second was as 150; so we have something in common.

Be prepared for more Heritage purchases, and welcome to the HOC!

Congratulations on your H-555! Whatever your music genre, it will sound good with that guitar.

Thanks guys. I was able to upload some pictures of the H150 I got from Brentrocks as well. I still haven't had a chance to play it much, but it seems fairly awesome as well. It's certainly pretty. It has one of the coolest, most vintage looking tops of anything I've owned. It changes color dramatically in different lighting conditions...from very warm gold to amber and orange. I see something new every time I look at it from a different angle...tons of swirls, mineral streaks, flames, clouds, etc...so much going on there, it's really tough to capture the complexity.

Welcome to the cult Jritt, congrats on the new Heritages. One of the nice things about this site is it is a good place to wheel and deal with good honest folks. Seths are great in the Heritage semi hollows IMHO. I love the vertical grain and spotting (mineral streaks?) on the 150.
