Guest HRB853370 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Yep. Yea, the thought did occur to me that if that kid and I should ever meet again in life, I pondered what I might say to him. After deep reflection on the whole matter, I thought I might say something like, "Sorry about your luck Kid, this b**** is mine!" lol! [Oh man, that's just wrong. I'm a bad person. ] Maybe you should buy the kid a Squier or something, just to get this off your conscience!
yoslate Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Sam called: "Slate...got one you need...." Sam knew me, and knew I was a sucker for good wood. A '96 576, with beautiful maple everywhere. Played great; sounded better. Bought it. Gigged it. Put Phat Cats in it, which made it even better...great match for that guitar! It was a "go to," until I landed the 535, which I've characterized as the best guitar I've ever owned. I wasn't playing the 576 as much as it deserved, so decided to let it go. Fortunately, I was able to keep it in the family...GASguy, Ron, did me the favor of providing a good home. http://www.flickr.co...N08/2269400397/
tbonesullivan Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 1998 H-535 in Almond Sunburst finish with matching pickguard. Schaller hardware and pickups. Grover tuners. Great feel, great sound, great color, great neck. great guitar. I really do need to play her more often. She's in this photo on the left:

2bornot2bop Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Ron~ That is my favorite photo of that archtop! It truly captures the color, arch and beauty of that old girl. That GE has the acoustic voice of a musical cannon. She was my second Heritage purchase. And yes, you still have visitation rights as well as dibbs. clearly one of the nicest GE's I've ever seen!!!
76mjs Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Still have my '96 H150 with RS Guitarworks guts and Fralin Pure PAF's.
pro-fusion Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 My first was my 2008 H-157 Black Beauty. It's not going anywhere. The only modifications are to the pickups. I've swapped 'em out a few times, and currently have a Duncan Pearly Gates set in there. The SD 59s it came with were all wrong for a guitar with this much top end.
NoNameBand Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Hagstrom Mark II. I sold that One for a G Les Paul Custom. I have all my Girls since (harem) except a Flying V. 16 in total.

tbonesullivan Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 You got some real nice gear T-Bone!! Thanks! I just wish the H150CM got more playing. It's so dang heavy! Also I seem to prefer the Kahuna. Might have to move the H150 onto a new home eventually.
