High Flying Bird Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 The Heritage Guitar, Inc. of 225 Parsons Street Kalamazoo, Michigan By Victor H. Dvorak http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/3614926 There is some very nice photography in this thing. Check it out.
bolero Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 woah....I may just have to pick one of those up fantastic!!
PunkKitty Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 A very cool book that brings back so many good memories.
schundog Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I know what I'm putting on my Christmas list! PFFT. And she says I'm hard to buy for..... This one's a no brainer. Very nicely done, Victor!
fxdx99 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Wow! Victor, that is fanTAStic! Had no idea - what a wonderful project. Congratulations!
totonka Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks for all the responses. Of course, I would not have gone forward with making the book available without the blessing of Heritage. It would have just been a Christmas present for my parents. Much to my surprise, Marv, Bill, Ren and Jim were very supportive of it.
bolero Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 you're not related to that famous Chech composer, by any chance?
RhoadsScholar Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Hats off to you man. Great stuff and will be under the christmas tree for sure ! THANKS
Kuz Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Uber-cool!!! I thought of doing a small unpublished Heritage coffee table book with my pics.
Horace Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 You know, Heritage is the only guitar company I can imagine that would put out a coffee table book that features pictures of tools, machinery, and employees at work instead of their beautiful guitars. That's a very strong message that I hope does not get lost. Horace
JackBaruth Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Just bought a copy! Can't wait to have it sitting on *my* coffee table!
Gitfiddler Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 That is a great tribute to those amazing Parsons Street guitar makers! Nice work, Victor!!
Guest HRB853370 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 The Heritage Guitars, Inc? I believe the company is legally named Heritage Guitar, Inc. but I could be wrong. This book looks to be primarily a pictorial of shots from various PSP events with very little text, correct? It sure looks like a labor of love and thanks for putting together something like this, which was long overdue! This has been said many times before, but wouldn't it be great to have a book with all the anecdotal information that Ren, Marv and Jim has shared with us over the years?
JackBaruth Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I would be willing to write a short book with all of the "other" information, as a non-photographic companion volume to Victor's work.
golferwave Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Certainly a "must have" for all us Heritage guitar nuts
koula901 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 One of those pics depicts a lefty golden eagle. Great work Totonka!
