Billgelder Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I pick up my custom order H150CM last night. It came out great, I can finally call myself a Heritage owner. It came just the way I wanted it, except they do not do Stainless Steel frets anymore. When I asked why I was told there was too many issues with Stainless Steel frets. One piece Honduran mahogany body & neck Custom finish- "Brock-Dapra Burst on AA flame top with faded Cherry back Pickups: * SD Pearly Gates in Bridge, Alnico II Pro in neck- both 4 conductor wires for coil taps * Push Pull coil tap pots for both pickups See Need help designing a Custom H150 for more details. Thanks to kidsmoke, FredZepp,tulk1, Kuz , skydog52 and tulk1 for all your input it was a lot of help. One thing I found very interesting is the serial number was inked in and not stamped. I was told they dropped the stamp and broke it. I plan on play Friday night at our gig, I'll let you know how it goes. untitled 2.bmp
SouthpawGuy Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Looks like you got a real good one congrats !
yoslate Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Woof! Congrats on a stunning build, Bill! Looking forward to a gig report. And stainless frets.... Last re-fret I did was a nickel-stainless alloy on my Tele. Tough to cut and work. By the way, what's the weight on the 150?
golferwave Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 A VERY fine looking H-150!! Congratulations on your new axe!
Billgelder Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 Woof! Congrats on a stunning build, Bill! Looking forward to a gig report. And stainless frets.... Last re-fret I did was a nickel-stainless alloy on my Tele. Tough to cut and work. By the way, what's the weight on the 150? Good question. I did not put it down long enough last night to weigh it, to busy pissing off the neighbors. I'll weigh it tonght and get back to you. I post another picture on my profile, I can't post here. If anyone can help I would be very appreciative.
FredZepp Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 That's a great looking burst.. !! A Pearly Gates and Alnico II with coil taps should help it sound just right too... And .. it's cool that you got one of the first ones with the new hand drawn serial numbers...
fxdx99 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Brock-Dapra Burst - oh yeh. That's gorgeous. Congratulations and looking forward to the gig report.
DetroitBlues Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 broke the serial number stamp? interesting... But who cares! That is an outstanding instrument you have! Congrats!
Guest HRB853370 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 All of my Heritages have inked serial numbers. I have never seen stamped numbers like Gibson does on any Heritage. Thats a very nice axe. Congratulations and play it in good health!
