barrymclark Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 ...where every note felt like the right one. No matter how 'wrong' it was, it was so 'right'. Every chord landed the way I wanted. My 575 (both Lovers lit and all knobs dimed) and JC120 (bright off, channel 2, EQ flat, distortion off, reverb at 9 o'clock and effects off) are just perfect for each other. What a tone! This pair has easily been my go-to since the JC landed.

This is part of the goal, as I work through the Kenny Werner book I'd mentioned in another thread. "...[E]very note felt like the right one. No matter how 'wrong' it was, it was so 'right'." Paradoxical, but it's a concept that has its place in a certain context. I'll stop there, as I'm about to paint myself into a corner....
