Rob, what strings are you using on that fat butt gitfiddle?

Whatever, she sure sounds sweet!

I gave him a set of Thomastic George Benson Flat wound 12-53s. He finally listened to me and put them on the Super super. TI GB flatwounds are not your Grandpa's flatwounds, as you can hear they have plenty of quality highend with very little of the "thud" associated with flatwounds.

Heh.... What John (thanks again, John) said, Tim. They've taken a bit of getting used to. They feel quite substantial under my hand. And I'm a bender...which isn't happening here...and I have to remind myself of that before leaning into one. But they are tremendous for chord work. I used to play .011's, but it's been back to .010's for quite a while now. But for this style of music and playing, with that guitar, the period of adjustment (ongoing, I think) has been well worth it. The darker tones in the other vid, with the '57 Vibrolux, are very satisfying for me. In this vid, I'm through a blackface Deluxe reissue, which is different, but equally satisfying. The Infelds and the P-90's seem to work wonderfully well with both types of Fender amp. Now that i'm not at all "afraid" of that Big Girl, it's most satisfying to play! Oh, yeah, I should mention that feedback was a bit of an issue. A few yards of black felt, stuffed into each "F" hole pretty much too care of that. Affects acoustic tone a bit, but it is an electric guitar....

Thanks for the string responses, John and Rob. I use TI BeBops on my P90'd 525 and love em. Since my girl is a bit more svelte bodied, I haven't stuffed anything inside of her. If I do, it will be multiple pairs of black lace nylons (sans garter!).

Nice comping, Rob. I don't believe I've seen you spank this big butt before.
