Very Cool Fred, thanks for putting this up. Never saw that photo of Marv as a teen. Not to beat a dead horse.....but a good marketing/graphic artist could totally go nuts with this brand.

Yeah... the complete lineup pic and the GM album are nice additions to the thread.

James Deurloo, Gibson's plant manager; Marvin Lamb, a Gibson craftsman; and a third partner, J.P. Moats, opened Heritage Guitar Inc. in April 1985.

"We didn't pick the easy thing to do, I'll tell you that," Deurloo said.

But at 73, he's proud of their work. "We've built a good company with a good name. We've built an instrument that people seek out," he said.

This year, Heritage Guitar's 20 full- and part-time employees are expected to produce about 1,000 electric guitars.

I saw this quote on another forum, and I thought it applies very well to Heritage:

 

"Guitars made by those who love guitars will always be a cut above those that are made by machines run by shift workers."
