Guest HRB853370 Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I got this for Christmas: Not a Heritage but it's going to be a lot of fun all the same When did Fender start selling kits? I remember the days when there was a company called Heathkit..........good marketing on their part though!
Thundersteel Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I got a Taco Bell Gift Card. I didn't fare much better--I received two gift cards from Lowe's. I must have been a bad boy during 2012!

H Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 When did Fender start selling kits? They don't sell kits. This is a very good replica from Thailand. Marsh amps make use of the same supplier for some chassis as far as I know.
H Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 H: so sorry to see it came all broken up in pieces... I look forward to your build thread. Putting the pieces together is a huge part of the fun for me The thread will begin in the Amps section early next year - lots more stuff to seek out and buy first.
HANGAR18 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 They don't sell kits. This is a very good replica from Thailand. Marsh amps make use of the same supplier for some chassis as far as I know. Do people ever build kits and then try to resell them as factory original made amps?
DetroitBlues Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I got this for Christmas: Not a Heritage but it's going to be a lot of fun all the same That's awesome!
DetroitBlues Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 A ha so that's where the ASAT is going? Since you posted some weeks ago about possibly selling it I started self debating about sending you a dibbs pm. Glad it is settled, looks like a good one. Besides I need another Tele type like a hole in my head. Did it have the 7.25 or 12" radius? 12", Heritage525 bought the guitar new, it was bought and sold a few times. It's going back home.
Steiner Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I shipped Mrs. Steiner off to visit family over the holidays. She came back with one of these for me: She says I've been a Very Good Boy!

DetroitBlues Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 So did you show her the custom hanger for it?
High Flying Bird Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 agreed! Me too, I love the Snark. I could never tune a guitar with any other tuner. I had to get a D off a tuner and go from there by myself. Now I have the Snark and life is good.
Millennium Maestro Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I shipped Mrs. Steiner off to visit family over the holidays. High Flying Bird Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 My cats got me this Wacom Intuos5 Medium Pen & Touch Tablet. I am bored so I am going to learn how to draw and do political comics. If I can learn to draw as well as I can describe things, you people had better watch out.
High Flying Bird Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 She came back with one of these for me: Yes, but she wished you had one of your own upon her return.
H Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Do people ever build kits and then try to resell them as factory original made amps? I suppose it's possible. Keep an eye on my thread when it starts - mine is not going to be a replica, more of a 'based on'.

Steiner Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 So did you show her the custom hanger for it? There was no time for hats. The best part of shipping her off was the homecoming. The gift that keeps on giving! Hope it wasnt the mother in law that sent you this! otherwise next time you may have to stay in a hotel! WOODY Mother-in-law visited a nudist camp when in her 80s. They had pictures on the wall of the members. Her stories about the visit fixated about one young lad who was freakishly endowed. She kept describing it like it was a fish story; the big one that got away. Needles to say, I stay in a hotel whenever we visit her. Yes, but she wished you had one of your own upon her return. What? You mean to say you've never played guitar standing up without a strap? Try it. Just abstain from the Townshend windmills!

Needles to say, I stay in a hotel whenever we visit her. At the risk of TMI, here is my reply to that. Wifey and I try to stay at nudist resorts as much as we can. We used to take a vacation every year at Christmas time at one of our favorite places near Tampa, Fl. Have not been there in over a year now. Most relaxing thing you can imagine (maybe with the exception of playing a Heritage guitar). It is not for everybody however. I have strummed guitar in the buff, sang Karaoke in the buff, hot tubbed in the buff and even played tennis in the buff (do not ask where you put the tennis balls, I will not answer that).
bolero Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Who is the most popular guy at a nudist colony? The guy who can carry a cup of coffee in each hand and a dozen donutsWho is the most popular girl in a nudist colony? The one who can eat the last donutok back on topic...I got an Epiphone J200 jumbo acoustic...what a surprise!sounds really good too, all maple.I'll be channeling some Reverend Gary Davis soon
DavesNotHere Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 I didn't get a new Heritage, but I did get some nice wood courtesy of Mr. Steiner. I had ordered one for my Mother for Christmas and it was so beautiful I had to order a few more....for me. ( The pictures don't do them justice) Great work Greg!!
