New Guitar Day

We just got back fro Kalamazoo where Ren welcomed my wife and yours truly with a private tour and the presentation of my new Heritage. All I can say is Thanks to the Heritage Owners Club because you made this possible. You got me in and I scored big time.

Kenny Rambow arrived at the factory shortly after us. We had exchanged emails, drawings and phone calls but had never met before today. He designed this guitar for Heritage way back in the "c" era and actually cut and shaped all the bodies for this model. Is it the H-125? I think so.

For this guitar, I was allowed to tweak the body shape, choose the woods, pickups and control configuration. That is what you call a custom guitar. What blows me away are the ebony board and the inlayed Heritage logo. This is a beautiful guitar.

Mr. Rambow cut and shaped this body from one piece of mahogany and Heritage did the rest. Ken Rambow is an artist. From what the Heritage guy's say, he can play guitar as well as anyone and has a mind that never rests. Building guitars and winding pickups are what he lives for.

This was Mr. Rambows first look at the finished product as well and was truly happy. He called as I was driving home to tell me how happy he was with the project. Class act.

They treated me like a million and it was because I am a member here.

They are very happy with the Heritage Owners Club and it is mind blowing what a great blues machine they have built me. They did this because I belong to this web site. What they didn't know is that I am the guy that doesn't talk that much about his guitars. Well I'm talking about this one.

I just plugged this guitar into Gibson GA-40 Les Paul model amp from 1954. This is a killer axe.

Heritage makes 3-5 guitars a day. That is quality, pure and simple.

Once more, my thanks to Brent Henderson and all the members of this web site. Thanks for allowing me to blend in and be a part this Heritage Owners Club.

I will get some pictures up in the next days, I think some of you might like this. It is not everyones cup of tea but I have a feeling some of you might like it.

Congratulations! I can't wait to see how it turned out for you, and going to pick up your custom build at the factory?! I doubt you'll forget this day anytime soon.

I got to see it under construction. Would love to see how it turned out!
I Really think it came out nice. I sent a new drawing to Ken Rambow and after that it was out of my hands. While it was being built, I received some great photo's from Mr. Rambow of guitars he has built on his own based on the H-125 shape. The guy does great work so I was not worried. The guitar came out better than I had imagined. They really did a nice job. I am really impressed.

This guitar has a more traditional cut away than the previous H-125's and is a tad sleeker. I have two older H-125's and this one is a whole different animal. All the H-125's I have seen have varied slightly and this is no exception. They let me do what I wanted and this is what I came up with. This one is mine!

Nice - I was in the proto room with you when Ren got Kenny on the phone for you. And now you've your new guitar. Fantastic. And a '54 LP amp sounds like just the other half to make it shine. Congratulations!
