lb61906 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 We all have our dream guitar(s). For the longest, I have lusted over blonde Gibson ES-350s from the late 1950's. Pretty much one of the coolest guitars ever in my view. But like most people, I don't have $8000 (and up) to spend on one like this...... So, what could I do to satisfy my needs for a vintage ES-350? I saved some cash, made a few phone calls, waited 4 months, problem solved! Not a vintage blonde ES-350, but even better (and cheaper), my Heritage H-550 with Lollar P-90s!!! Heritage really nailed the look I wanted on this guitar. A nod to the original but totally modern and unique. THANK YOU HERITAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DetroitBlues Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Now that is truly a work of art! Congrats!
yoslate Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Oh Man!!! Incredible! Congratulations on an absolute beauty! Vintage vibe out the wazoo! Love it...everything about it! That amber just kills. I have a Super Eagle with P-90's...you're going to love what they'll do in that box!!! That really is one of the most stunning guitars I've ever seen on this site...and I've been here since 2007.
Kuz Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Wow, Julian, what an incredible guitar!!!! You have yourself a modern vintage classic!!! Play that baby in good health and play it often!!
Spectrum13 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Been a long time since I have seen something this tasty come out of 225 Parsons Street. They featured the 350 in this month's Vintage Guitar too. Roll over Chuck Berry.
lb61906 Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 I had to mail them the tailpiece, outside of that, it was all Heritage !!!! I love it! Never been this happy about a new guitar before.

I dunno, seems like you had something pretty tasty come out of Parsons Street last summer, just in time to take to PSP. I had to mail them the tailpiece, outside of that, it was all Heritage !!!! I love it! Never been this happy about a new guitar before. Georgia Boy, thats great!!! Next time I get back into Georgia, maybe I can bring my wineburst 550 and we can jam out together!! Love it!!
High Flying Bird Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Very nice. The H-550 is a heck of a guitar. It would be my next guitar but I think I am good for now.
DavesNotHere Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 That is beautiful! The binding in the f holes just really sets it off perfectly.
fxdx99 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 My oh my - stunning. You've 2 excellent custom Heritages. Someone else uses that model on occasion...
rockabilly69 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Well ain't that a peach! One question though, what made you go with the non floating bridge?
Keith7940236 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Congratulations, I've been very intrigued with that model. There is one in Vancouver, WA that I have had my eye on for awhile. You really have a beautiful instrument, they did a fantastic job of building it for you. Play it in good health.
FredZepp Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I'll echo that it's a stunning instrument. Your intro puts it into perspective very nicely. The Gibby is beautiful and the custom made in Kalamazoo example that you've had made lives up to the legend. Congrats !!
bolero Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 YOWZA!!!! that is a work of Art.....what an amazing guitar!!!!!!! congratulations, you have great taste *drool*
