Number8 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 It took a little time but my project has come together. That is, my blue Millennium in which I put a set of HRWs. Had a little scare with a bad pot (which left me wondering what all the HRW fuss was about), but now that's fixed and it roars. Her name is "Blu Troia" because she's been passed around and has signs of wear. GPuma can translate that for you.
Blunote Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 You might want to upload larger images. All I'm able to see are thumbnail sized ones.
gpuma Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Holy smoke is she a beautiful Troia (which I am not going to translate)
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Man, all you dudes in Chicago with killer guitars!!!
skydog52 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Nice Milli Congrats on what I think is their best design.
Blunote Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Beauty! Now, plug it into a BF Reverb Deluxe or Twin.
Number8 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Beauty! Now, plug it into a BF Reverb Deluxe or Twin. She's already been partnered with a Blues Junior, a Deluxe and a little Peavey...a true Troia.
PunkKitty Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Beautiful guitar. Blue Troia? That's just mean.
Gillnetter Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Is that the one that was for sale on CL in Seattle? Didnt it have Seth lover pickups in it?
kidsmoke Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 She's already been partnered with a Blues Junior, a Deluxe and a little Peavey...a true Troia. Beautiful guitar. Blue Troia? That's just mean. Didn't you build a guitar and name it "La Cabronita" this is making me recall.....weren't we gonna have a meeting where we passed our...ahem....guitars around and made some joyful noise? Starting a thread....
chico Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 nice. Is that silver or gold hdware? I can't tell, though I see it has gold tophats. congrats on such a fine pickup, you'll love it. here's a rainbow sister to yours: my red 155. it has HRW's too, from the factory. Silver Hardware, which makes it atypical. my favorite guitar, sitting next to me on the stand always at the ready as I type. now all we need is someone to post photos of their green and Vintage burst H155, surely there are copies out there.. love it in good health, chico
Number8 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Beautiful guitar. Blue Troia? That's just mean. So is she.
Number8 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 nice. Is that silver or gold hdware? It's actually gold hardware except for the pup covers and the selector knob. I was going to switch those to gold too but ultimtely I kind of liked the way it looked. At first I thought I might have just been talking myself into that look to save a few bucks but then I realized it worked because the silver covers work with the block inlays and the cream pup rings jive with the neck binding. I like it a lot actually.
kidsmoke Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Nice MilliCongrats on what I think is their best design. Jim Duerloo shares your assessment. Although, he may be a bit biased, since it's his design. Seeing your Custom Millie Ultra, Skydog, when you took delivery at PSP, coupled with a lengthy discussion with Jim at his bench with "raw" Millie bodies in front of us, bumped the model into a tie for first on my HBL (Heritage Bucket List) Awesome score, 8.
Gitfiddler Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 That blue Millie will surely play some great blues!!!
y2kc Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I saw a new Millie when I was at the factory last week. They are the best and yours is a work of art. Nice, Y2kc
