Hello everyone,

although basically a folk guitarist I've owned a 1989 H575 for about 20 years. In the last month however I've aquired a 1988 acoustic Golden Eagle (reg no 103),

a 1998 natural Super Eagle and a 2002 almondburst H555.The quality is brilliant and I'm trying hard not to add a H150CM to the collection!!If only it was a little

more economical to import from the U.S.In the meantime best wishes to all the other Heritage fans out there.Hopefully find photos of the Golden and Super Eagle

attached, photos of the H555 may follow.

Welcome, houndhome! The Golden Eagle is just fabulous! What I would give for an acoustic Heritage archtop! And I'm a Super owner, as well. And if you'll excuse me, I will say you're collection certainly deserves a 150!

Greetings from Worchestershire..... at least that is where Great, Great, Great, Great GrandPa came from. Who am I kidding, that was $160 years ago. I'm as Yankee as anybody, but welcome none the less.

Welcome from the Carolinas USA!

Thanks for all the welcomes.Heritage guitars surely deserve to prosper if the enthusiasm of their owners is anything to go by.

For those in England I live in a small town on the borders of Worcestershire,Shropshire and Herefordshire, with probably far too

many guitars,but I'm surethat this is a common affliction here!!Other Kalamazoo products are a1963 SG Junior,1964 ES330,1967-8

Epiphone Casino and Riviera,1964 Epiphone Texan,1971ish B25 deluxe (plus a 1981 Nashville built Silverburst Les Paul Custom.)

Photos seem very popular here so here are a couple moreof the Golden Eagle(if I've worked the dates right the first guitar completed

on Dec.30th 1988 E00201) and a couple of my long owned H575 serial F32205.

Welcome aboard and nice collection!

That golden is just about the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. Wow.

Thanks Ned,its been sold and then exchanged in 3 shops within the last 12 months each time for about £2400.I got it

for £1500 and dont intend to let it move on again.Although its acoustic it does have a K&K transducer fitted to the underside

of the archtop.I've never come across another acoustic Golden Eagle(must have been built this way because of the lack of cutout in the scratchplate)

but I assume that there must be others.

About a year ago brentrocks sold an employee-built that had some similarities in that it was all acoustic and had a great vibe. Love the pick guard on those early models that come to a sharp point.

I can't imagine why anyone would sell that instrument unless one was in a sawmill accident.

Feel free to post pictures as much as you like. You have a perfect specimen.

Hi houndhome and welcome to the HOC.

That's a bad case of GAS you have but well done! You must have a problem knowing which one to play next - but a lot better than not having one to play at all.

Enjoy them all.

welcome to HOC! nice new axe you have there, and if I may say, I'm dying to see pics of your entire collection, sounds like some awesome Kalamazoo doins..

A bad case of GAS? You've no idea!!At the moment there are 61 guitars in the house, although to be fair 3 of them

(Martin HD28,0018C and a Harmony H75) belong to my partner who no longer plays, thanks to arthritis. Some are

serious but others such as a Futurama 111 and a pile of Burns guitars are just nostalgia (nostalgia's not what it used

to be!).Add to the collection a few concertinas and other odds and sods and there is a storage problem,Seriously my

no.1 guitar is a handbuilt acoustic by Russell Wootton who builds amazing sounding smaller bodied acoustics. So when I

read GAS I tend to wince and look the other way.

My wife's piano tuner collects painos and has about 10 dotted around the house. I know not as many as your guitars but you can't get too many pianos in a room.

It is fun though, they all have their own characteristics. We had guests at Christmas and they stayed in the bedroom where I keep the ones I'm not playing. She asked, I think out of genuine interest, why do I have so many guitars. I tried to tell her but it's difficult to explain to a non musician.

Yes you must post some pics.

Not at all sure as a new member about the correctness of posting non-Heritage pics in a forum entitled Heritage guitars.

Perhaps someone can advise before I blot my copybook!Anyway here is a Kalamazoo built semi which I am very fond of.For

nitpickers the label inside reads ES330TDC implying the colour is cherry.Serial is 66125 indicating 1964,and the label on the

back of the headstock is for Grimwoods, the same dealers label as can still be found on the back of George Harrisons

Be-bop-a-lula Stratocaster.Perhaps the two guitars once rubbed shoulders.Seriously if there is somewhere else in the forums

where I should be posting pics of non-Heritage guitars could you let me know(nicely if possible).

The Family Tree is the place for non-Heritage stuff, though I can't imagine anyone objecting to the photos of vintage guitars from Kalamazoo! I know I don't.
