Look what showed up today on my doorstep. I've been wanting one of these for years...

And see, they all get along just fine!

Nice goldtop - congrats! Light colored and one piece back, '59s (or seth lovers?) pickups, and that pretty gold finish. Very cool.

You called it - 59s.

I'm so glad I went this direction rather than picking up another LP with a gold top. I love this thing.

Welcome aboard with a nice Goldtop. A classic beauty.

Congrats on a nice collection.

Beautiful Goldtop, what year? Heritage has the best Goldtop finishes IMHO. And a Hamer fan too I see.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I appreciate them, and good to be here.

It is a 2009. I am a big Hamer fan as well! I have a studio and a special and dig them both a lot. The studio plays nice and is a beautiful guitar, but the special (it isn't here atm) is just a hard rock machine.

Almost exactly the way I started. How do you like the neck carve?

I dig it. It's a little thicker than what I usually play on, but I am not really a partial to thing or thick. It just has to feel right, and this one does. For years I thought the thinner the better until I bought a couple of super shredders. I found that the neck on that old LP Custom was just much more to my liking, though it is definitely on the thin side of the LP spectrum itself.

You're killing me!!! I have been trying mightily to resist buying one of these and my will power has been almost crushed. Beautiful. If it an't gold it ain't a Les Paul (IMHO).

Got to love the Heritage gold finish. It is in a class by itself! Well done and welcome aboard.

I love all three of those guitars. I've had that LP (a dreaded Norlin!) for almost 15 years. I've kind of wanted to retire it from being my main ax, and that sparked this recent spate of acquisition. I wanted to stick to guitars that were from the LP bloodline, which I consider all of the above to be.

There is something undeniably classic about the Heritage. Of course, you all know this, but I didn't. BrentRocks recommended I give it a stab and said the price was good, so I took the dive. It isn't the easiest playing guitar I have (though it certainly isn't uncomfortable by any stretch either), but the tone has floored me. I have a Mesa Mark V, and for the first time since I got that amp, I really explored the first channel's range of tones from dirt to grit. I just don't have anything else that really showcases what that channel can do (and vice versa I guess).

I also really dig Hamer's kind of hot rod take on the whole thing.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your goldtop! I've get '59s in my 150 and really love them.

Welcome aboard! It won't be your last Heritage.

Nope. I am already drooling over 535s and 157s. :-D
