Billgelder Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Hey B,I remember when you ordered yours! I'm glad it turned out the way you wanted. Sonow I can't wait to see which one of these flametops will be the champion of the great Heritage sound. The older one has Pure Handwound Custom Zhangbucker pickups which are slightly lower output but VERY PAF like, and it also has the Faber hardware I like. So I am very anxious to see the differences. It one totally smokes the other I will sell the weaker and get me a custom P90'd Goltop! If they both sound equally great but different I will save up for the goldtop: Let me how it goes. I would like to know what you think.
fretless Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Well you guys know that I love my H150 as I've posted a few of my songs that I've used it on, but recently I was looking at Wolfe Guitar's inventory and came upon this one... Well after hearing the video/audio demo, I send my credit card info and bought my first brand new Heritage. Here's the specs... 1 piece Honduran Mahogany body * Deep dish carved top * REAL Nitrocellulose lacquer finish * REAL Mother of Pearl inlays * Grover keys * TonePro bridge & stop bar * CTS control Pots w/ Spraque caps * LONG neck Tenon * Duncan Pearly Gates humbuckers * Vintage Wineburst finish over Natural lacquered back. * Medium Jumbo frets,* comfortable Medium neck carve- Honduran neck * Deluxe Heritage logo hardshell case. Oh my what a stunning instrument ! Congrats .
bolero Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 woah, those are both great looking H150's, I would have a hard time deciding which to let go congrats on the new gtr, post more pics when you get it!!

Billgelder Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Jay just got this one in. Too bad I spent all my money at the guitar show last month. Just arrived- Heritage WOLFE version H150CM with 1 pc./ deep dish carved top, 1 pc. back, Seth Lovers, etc.
212Mavguy Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 @ the OP, Dan, that is one heck of a nice guitar. I recently purchased a VWB 157, what a nice look that finish has. Consider yourself invited to Heber for some serious window shaking...bring yer blackface, I have some old tubes it might like...
ridethatbike Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Man, that is spectacular. Enjoy it in good health, and I bet it'll be everything you wanted and then some!

I usually stop at the Spin Cafe for dinner when I play at Deer Valley in the day, and Sundance at night (that's what I did this last Saturday). And I have been taking the Deluxe Reverb with me on the road! I'll let you know when my schedule slows down a bit where I can actually take some time for some socializing:) Thanks for the invite.

I love that color as that is the color of my Gibson 60 reissue! I also am a fan of Seth Lover pickups which I like even more than Antiquities because of the fully charged magnets! Someone is going to get a nice one there! Here's my 60 reissue... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y126/rockabilly69/LPAgain.jpg

Please don't mind if this basement player lives vicariously through you! I'm curious about the difference between Seth Lovers and Antiquities; I have Seths in my H-155 Millenium, and Antiquities in my 535. At the time I decided on the Antiquities, my understanding was that they were basically just "relic-ed" Seths; are you saying the Seths have more "umph?" While they both sound great, I think I dig the Seths better.

Congratulations!!!

Will, it's your goldtop that I really want. I might sell some guitars and order one if you don't stop hoarding yours! Throbak are now winding P90s so that makes me more desirous! And yes your wineglass is a looker! Thanks RB, my GT is secure in SC right now so little chance, but I encourage you to get your hands on one!

I don't like relic'ing as I wear my stuff out just fine on my own from the gigs I do.
