"Give up on the whole emulation thing and go back to real amps?

Heh :)"

I am guessing no. Haha.

I am thinking he will play the bejesus out of it before modeling it.

Shudder to think what he paid for it.

it's amazing he found one. I thought most of the times people had to sign a contract with dumble stating that if they sold it they had to sell it back to dumble.

Heh :)

Why on Gods green earth would he want to do that now that he has an opportunity to blow that whole nonsensical 'way out of control' Dumble mystique right out of the water. I'm not denying that Dumble makes great amps, but the status and the prices they command are IMO just plain stupid beyond belief. I'm sure he'll do a great job of showing the world you don't need to spend $20'000.00 on an amp head to get great sound.

An original Dumble Overdrive Special with accessories went on the bay the other day for $55,600.00. I'm glad I have my Ceriatone clone.

As someone who was able to play a couple ODS clones, I can say unless you have the ability to get the tubes turned up to their sweet spot, the amp just isn't worth it. But if you can turn it up, look out.
