On the subject of the outage of 2 FEB 13

This site, all of the other sites I manage/provide and approximately 1.2 million other domains (i.e., not just mine) were unavailable for something close to seven hours yesterday. The data center which houses the server(s) we are on experienced a freak power surge which led to a cascading series of failures. All seems to be well now, if a bit slow in responding. Site/board slow downs may continue for a couple of days as systems settle back in.
