brentrocks Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I found this rare duck on craigslist last week and had to have it! Its a 1994 H 147...kinda like the H 140, just more bling. This one is no closet queen...plenty of bumps n bangs n checking...still a great axe though! It features a one piece mahogany back, flame maple top, ebony fretboard, block inlays and muti-ply binding. The electronics and hardware were on their last leg, so i installed a set of tone pros locking bridge and tailpiece, new kluson tuners, CTS 500k pots, nos russian .022 caps and a set of Ren Wall HRW pickups. It has a slim neck and a slim body...prob only 8 lbs. It rocks the house, for sure!!!
schundog Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Oh, man, I dig that thing! 225 Parson's Street should still crank that one out. Congratulations on another great find.
FredZepp Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Wow ! That one is a looker. Great top and finish... and with the 147 bling, it looks sweet. No doubt that it will play and sound just as sweet. A great one to grab, for sure. congrats on the NGD, Brent !!
Billgelder Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Nice, I like the muti-ply bindings that go all around.
brentrocks Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 That is a looker! You gonna do a demo video? oh yeah...prob tonight
Genericmusic Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Nice, I would call that a tiger stripe top that grain and color.
bobmeyrick Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Very nice. Makes my recently acquired 140 look rather plain...
kidsmoke Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 wow. that looks amazing with a little bling. nice job on the hardware too. Your bench is probably stocked better than the guitar shop in my neighborhood that does set-ups etc.
Gitfiddler Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Good catch, Brent! I bet that thing ROCKS!!!!!!!!!
fxdx99 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Me likey. Way cool. Wait a minute... what the heck is that amp it's leaning against? I must have missed a post.
JeffB Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Me likey. Way cool. Wait a minute... what the heck is that amp it's leaning against? I must have missed a post. Bingo. The amp! oh yeah, nice guitar!
CJTopes Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 That guitar would look good plugged into my amp!....at my house....and me being the owner!
Blunote Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Looks like your harshest critic is about 3 feet tall.
blueox Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Congrats on finding another unique Heritage that's bound to rock. Nice shirt, also, along with that cute recording engineer.
